Golden South Sea Pearls
Golden South Sea Pearls are some of the most valuable pearls cultured today. The most beautiful and most valuable are the deep golden colored pearls grown in the gold lipped variety of the Pinctada maxima South Sea oyster.
The growth period for a single pearl is 2-4 years, which is double the length of time for a Tahitian Pearl and more than that for an Akoya pearl, which Mikimoto is so famous.
The golden color of these pearls is totally natural and does not need any treatments of dyes to be the "sunshine" pearl.
