Souffle Pearls are a new type of cultured pearls that are nucleated with a ground material, instead of a hard mother of pearl. Without going too deeply into the process, when the pearl is harvested, it is drilled and the ground material is extracted. This leaves the pearls beautiful and with much less weight. As you might imagine, it is perfect for larger pearl earrings. The shape and luster are fabulous.
